  Actually, many elements - even whole scenes and ideas from "The Big Lebowski" were used for a German movie called "Bang Boom Bang - Ein todsicheres Ding" ...

  I actually looked through a bit of the storyboard when I studied a video subject at uni - it's about as detailed as a Frank Miller book... Great to compare the first scene with Jesus to the actual final outcome. Awesome.
  
  I'd say I watch it about 3 to 5 times a year... 12 tho Anatole - thats hardcore! I like your style dude.

  this is a fantastic film in its own right, but judged against other coen bros. films i don't know that i'd put it in the top three. i'd say those would be:
  1. Blood Simple
  2. Miller's Crossing
  3. Barton Fink
